A good juicer can help you improve your health in 2017. Here is a list with some of the best juicers.
Factors To Consider When Buying A Juicer
There are many factors one has to consider before buying the best juicer for their health needs. These include the nature of the juicer, style, efficiency, comfort, design and the features it has.
The following are our three best picks for juicers in 2016 and 2017.
The Breville 800JEXL Juicer- Best Juicer in 2016-2017
Breville’s 800JEXL juicer is one of the best juicers on Amazon. It is specially designed to produce huge quantities of fresh healthy organic juice in a short time. We consider it a top juicer in 2017. It has an elegant design with two-speed control and a motor that is built to last.
It is not a cheap juicer, but at under $300, it is not one you want to immediately overlook.
What I really liked about Breville’s 800JEXL juicer
- It won’t heat vegetables up and destroy healthy enzymes.
- Exceptionally powerful motor.
- Made to maximize juicing efficiency
- Two controls for hard or soft fruits and vegetables
What I didn't like about the Breville 800JEXL juicer
- The powerful motor tends to burn out after a year or so.
- It is not cheap
- Hard to reach the manufacturer if problems arise
- High speeds are too high and low speeds are too slow
Main Features of the Breville 800JEXL juicer
This juicer has two speeds to make it easy to juice hard or soft fruits and vegetables easily. The feed sits directly center on the shredding disc making it truly powerful. Made with stainless steel, it is durable and made to last. It is also easy to clean and does yield much more juice than other juicers.
Breville is a well-known maker of quality juicers. It was, in fact, one of the first companies to mass produce juicers so it is a leader in the industry. This model is one of the costlier juicers out there but it is durable and is capable of making plenty of juice with little waste. It uses a centrifugal spinning blade chop fruits and vegetables into tiny bits. It spins them fast enough to extract as much juice as possible. There are some juicers that use this same technology but have problems with the blades heating up due to the friction. This, in turn, heats up the juice.
The Breville 800JEXL was made to avoid this issue. It can produce plenty of juice without destroying important, healthy enzymes in the process. It can speed up or slow down, as it senses what its contents are.
Should you buy the Breville 800JEXL Juicer?
If you are an infrequent juicer, stick to a lower priced model. If you are a die-hard juicer who drinks fresh juice every day this machine is a must to buy. Besides, we have rated it highly at about 4.5 on our best juicers list. It counts for something 🙂
The Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Pro
Is the Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Pro the best juicer in2016-2017? Does it live up to the hype and its name? Personally, I consider it one of the cheapest juicers in the market. Read this review to find out more about this product and then you can decide if you should buy it.
The Juicer- Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Pro has a stainless steel finish and it features a non-drip spout, but it does advertise it has a quiet operation system, but this actually isn't true. Unless the company considers a lot of noise as being quiet, then this product is far from it. Sure, it's not extremely loud, but it does make quite a bit of noise.
The product is marketed as being easy to take apart and it's dishwasher-safe, but there are a few pieces of the juicer that can be a bit tricky to dissemble. You should keep the manual on hand and don't skip washing the juicer after you use it because if it's not clean after every session, then you may notice oddities and overflow. As tempting as it may be, never avoid washing it after you use it.
The juicer often shakes and overflows when you over-stuff it or if it's used for long juicing sessions. This is because of the mesh filter and the blade basin, which is quite shallow. If you use this product, make sure you cut fruit into small pieces and wash it. You don't have to use a dishwasher to clean it, as cleaning it by hand is an option.
Also, don't use a dishwasher to clean the filter. It's also worth pointing out that the juicing chute isn't that shallow and you can easily fit a large apple in it. Sometimes fruits do jump out of it, so make sure you are firm when you're using the juicer's pusher.
The non-drip spout is alright, but it does drip. It only drips slightly, and you'll want to leave the jug underneath the juicer after you have turned it up. This will collect the remaining juice, but feel free to just put a plate or paper towel under the jug.
The Juice- Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Pro makes juice fast, and it can easily get through oranges and tangerines without running into any issues. Just about any fruit can be placed in it, as long as it doesn't have a seed or a solid pit in it. There is one downfall of the product and that is it is not that great with vegetables.
Things like cucumbers, carrots and celery are fine to use. However, wheatgrass, kale and cabbage shouldn't be used. The same goes for other types of leafy greens.
Generally speaking, certain veggies can be used and most fruit, but if you're in a vegan diet, then think twice about getting it. It does produce quite a bit of pulp. However, if you're looking for a product that allows you to make a second round of juicing very fast; then look elsewhere.
Tech Specs- The Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Pro has a 3,600 RPM blade and it only weighs around 15 pounds, which isn't heavy at all. Sure, it may not be the lightest product around, but you shouldn't struggle with carrying it. It also has a power cable attached to it.
If you look under the PJP juicer, then you'll notice that there is a red safety button. It's a little bit hidden, but this does turn the machine off if it starts to become too hot. It also doubles as a child-safety lock. This is a useful feature and you can rest assure that if the product gets too hot, then it will turn itself off.
Should you buy the Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Pro?
The Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Pro cuts the mark for one of the best juicers in the market because it has a sleek design and a simple, yet effective design. It doesn't weigh that much and it has a good size chute and an impressive finishing. With that said, we will say that this product gets a great score because it is a quality juicer and sold at a good price and you can rest assure it will last a longtime.
